Hey folks! πŸ‘‹

Good morning Edinburgh! Let's make this week count!

The weather is behaving and the cherry blossom has suddenly appeared all over Edinburgh, specifically the Meadows. The rapeseed fields are also now glowing golden in East Lothian. The city is warming up and looking great for summer. We hope you can make the most of it while it lasts!

This week’s Thriving Business🌿

Every Monday, we share a local & independent Edinburgh business all about wellness, fitness and health.

🌱 Hot and Bothy - Community Sauna

Instagram post

Just outside Edinburgh and tucked behind Archerfield Walled Garden you'll find one of the best wellness spots in the Lothians. Callum and Oscar have built something really special here. 🧑

Two wood-fired saunas, including the highlight for many, Gurt's Yurt, a sauna but in the dark! Resting at a slightly lower temperature, it’s the sauna to rest and enjoy for a longer period and let it all go!

A brilliant addition to East Lothian. With cold plunge barrels, changing rooms, showers and a fire pit. Sessions are 90 minutes so you get proper time to move between the hot and cold, settle in by the fire and enjoy a tea and slice of orange in between rounds whilst admiring all the quirky pots and plants giving it a homely feel.

Have you been yet? And more importantly. Were you brave enough for the cold plunge? πŸ₯Ά

πŸ“Š This Week's Fitness Fact:

⛰️ Edinburgh has seven hills within the city boundary.

Regular hill walking builds cardiovascular fitness, leg strength and mental resilience all at once. Grab a buddy and get walking!

🎯 This Week’s Monday Mission:

🌱 This week's Thriving Thought:

Imagine yourself standing at the summit of one of the seven Edinburgh hills, looking out and enjoying that awesome view. The sun is on your face, there’s a gentle breeze (if you’re lucky, haha!) and boy does life feel good!

This is your reminder that effort leads to reward. It also makes the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh city calm and serene, turning stress instantly into calm. Enjoy friends 🧑
